Investigating the composition of inks

Description

"This video demonstrates how you can investigate the composition of different inks using chromatography, in a practical experiment. Once the different dyes in an ink have been separated, you can calculate the Rf value to determine how far a dye has travelled compared to the solvent. The RF value equals the distance moved by the substance, divided by the distance moved by the solvent.
