Original bifocals

Found by Brian Pollard in a junk shop in Coventry in the 1960s.

They're 'pince nez' glasses and the bifocal part of the lens is attached to the main with an adhesive- we don't know exactly what. The frame looks like it's made of gold plated brass or copper alloy, with some writing on the bridge across the nose. They attach via a gold-plated safety chain which hooks behind one ear.
