A monumental console table designed by the architect H. E. Goodridge for William Beckford's retreat at Lansdown Tower. Made of Bath stone and sienna marble it is the earliest known piece of furniture from Beckford's Tower and was originally in the Vestibule on the ground floor. Greek Revival in design, matching the style of the Tower building, the table is a fine example of the skill of the masons who worked in 19th century Bath.
