Norimono

A Norimono is like a car with no wheels, once used in Japan as a form of transport. There was only enough room for one person inside, and they had to climb in through a sliding door. It would be carried by a strong man at either end, each using his shoulder to lift a large handle to raise the chair off the ground. If the men moved too quickly it could be a very bumpy ride!
