The present owner, Peter Stanier from Gravesend bought the bus ten years ago. It was exported from Jersey in 1939. During the war it was walled up in a tunnel to prevent the Germans taking it. After the war it was used for a district nurse. In 2005 it was filled with veterans and drove down The Mall in the Horse Guard Parade, and the poppies that fell from the sky can still be found on the floor of the bus. The bus is often seen at country shows and recently took pride of place in the main arena at The Kent County Show
