Jackie Grieve, doing health pathway studies part-time, said there should more investment in the region not less.

"I am here to protest because Dumfries and Galloway needs a university.

"I feel we will be lost without our campus here.

"Dumfries and Galloway needs more developments and more people to come into the area."
