Maddie Clayton, 36, an account executive from Manchester visited with her two children.

She said: "We came for a day trip. It’s the first time I’ve been here in 10 years.

"Not much has changed. I thought it would’ve improved.

"We would never have a holiday here – we go abroad every year. But the children have enjoyed the fair."
