CHILDREN OF WAR

Many Chechen children have never been outside the republic, and don’t know what a circus or zoo is like.

But they know very well what to do when a plane approaches or when something explodes nearby.

“We tell them fairytales, in fairytales Evil can never defeat Beauty,” says puppet theatre director Yaragi Delayev.

Although the actors face many hardships, the children's happy faces make them forget the war.
