'Mosquitoes are killing us'

With so much stagnant water and the hot weather, mosquitoes are thriving in flooded areas.

There has been some large scale mosquito spraying by the authorities, but a day afterwards, the mosquitoes are back, say residents of Portland Cottage.

One local said: "The mosquitoes are killing us. They are so big - biting constantly, leaving behind itchy blisters."
