Seselj to run for Serbian presidency
The Serb ultra-nationalist leader, Vojislav Seselj, has become the first official candidate for next month's presidential elections, the country's electoral commission has announced.

Mr. Seselj has run for president several times since 1990.

His party, the Serbian Radical Party, was allied with former President Slobodan Milosevic until the regime's fall in 2000.

Yugoslav Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus has also announced his candidacy.

Correspondents say the Yugoslav President, Vojislav Kostunica, has yet to decide whether to enter the poll.
