Georgia accuses Russia of bombing raid

Georgia has again accused Russia of violating its airspace, a day after Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov criticized Tbilisi for allowing Chechen rebels to operate on its territory.

Georgian border guards said Russian fighter planes coming from Chechnya had bombed Georgian territory.

They did not report any injuries.

A spokesman for the Russian air force, Alexander Drobishevsky, denied that Russian warplanes had crossed into Georgia.

It was the fourth time in a week that Georgia has accused Russia of bombing its territory.
