In pictures: End of a steel town
Hundreds of steelworkers in Ebbw Vale, south Wales, are joined by colleagues from across Wales to mark the end of steel and iron-making in the town, after 200 years.
Corus took the decision on 1 February 2001 to shed more than 3,000 jobs in Wales - 780 at Ebbw Vale tinplate works. The plant closed on Friday, 5 July. Here is a gallery of images from the steelworkers final march to the cenotaph in the town.
