Celebrity Survivor claims second victim
Nigel Benn had to confront his fear of spiders
Boxer Nigel Benn has become the second contestant to be voted off survival show I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.
The result came at the end of a difficult time for former boxer Benn, during which he had to confront his overwhelming fear of spiders, in pitch darkness, to win food in the 'Bush Tucker Trial'.
Speaking to show hosts Ant and Dec as he left he said: "It's very, very hard in there." Rhona Cameron, who had been expected to go on Tuesday, is tipped to be the next person voted off the show. Run for it After leaving Benn said he was planning to "emigrate to Majorca" with his wife and family. The ex-boxer, nicknamed the Dark Destroyer, endured a series of rows with fellow contestants and was pulling no punches with his views. "Why are they getting out of their pram, all of them?" he asked. "I'm saying to myself, they're not even a D-cast celebrity list, I'm sorry but the way they're all carrying on ..."
She was rounded up by security staff who told it was too dangerous to spend the night alone in the jungle. Psychic Uri Geller was the first contestant to be told to leave the Australian jungle. Eight minor celebrities have been pitted against each other in the jungle, in a show dubbed Celebrity Survivor, with the aim of winning money for their chosen charity. The public has been voting for which of the stars it wants to win the show, and the one who receives the least votes each day will leave. Geller described his time on the show as "the experience of my life". "I learnt a lot about myself," he told hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly. "But life in there was very, very hard. There were many social pressures." He said that he knew he would be the first to be evicted from the jungle. "Inside my mind, it said 'Uri, you are out today'". |
