Top of the Pops book: Your views
Zoe Ball, Jayne Middlemiss and Jo Whiley in 1988
The show has seen presenters come and go
Glossy paperback Top Of The Pops: 1964-2002 by Jeff Simpson celebrates the long-running music show as it takes a trip down memory lane for fans of the programme.

It has been published in anticipation of the show's 2,000th outing on 13 September 2002, in its 38th year.

"To Simpson's credit, he does include most of the moments which any serious student of TOTP history would have demanded on the syllabus," says the BBC's John Hand.

But what did you think?

Does it bring back the memories for you? Could it have been more thorough?

Have your say I thought it was excellent. It brought me back down memory lane with Wham and Culture Club. You seem to forget how good the 80s were.
Matthieu Terrier, Harlow, England

The best memory of Top of the Pops I have is seeing the Stone Roses and the Happy Mondays on the same show that kick started the 90s. Class!
Stewart Leggett, England

As a young punk, waiting for bands like Stiff Little Fingers or the Stranglers making rare apearrances.
Gary, USA

As a kid, I never missed it. My favourite was watching 10cc performing I'm Not in Love. Never forget watching their performance
Gary Hunt, England
