In pictures: Old Vic gala night
Stars from the musical and media worlds were out in force for a fund-raising gala concert in aid of London's Old Vic theatre organised by actor Kevin Spacey and Sir Elton John.
Sir Elton John announced that Kevin Spacey would be the Old Vic theatre company's new director
Courtney Love attended hours after receiving a police caution after an alleged air rage incident
Kevin Spacey raised a few laughs by being introduced as theatre chairman Elton John
Elton John songs were performed by musicians including Sting and Hole singer Love
Other singers at the event at The Old Billingsgate Fish Market included Lulu and Sinead O'Connor
Celebrities in the audience included Chelsea Clinton, whose father Bill is a friend of Spacey's
Tickets for the night cost up to £1,000 which were snapped up by stars from the media world
