Antisocial behaviour rated in survey
Rubbish
Over 2,500 people took part in the survey
Litter has been highlighted as the biggest cause for concern for people living in Mansfield in a survey into antisocial behaviour.

The questionnaire was sent out to thousands of households in an effort to identify problem areas.

More than 2,500 households responded to the survey sent out in the post.

Half of them described litter as a fairly or very big problem.

Steps taken

Dog fouling was the next biggest area of concern followed by teenagers or children hanging around on the streets.

Drug abuse, fireworks and abandoned vehicles also featured in the survey.

It was organised by the district council and the police among others.

They want to make sure they are aware exactly which areas members of the public want them to tackle.

In two years time, the exercise could be repeated in an effort to see whether steps taken to address the issues have made much impact.
