Ballet relayed for Sheffield screening
Covent Garden
The performance will be relayed from Covent Garden
A ballet is to be relayed to a giant screen in Sheffield from London's Covent Garden.

It will be the first time the Royal Opera House has transmitted its performances to a venue outside London.

The 40-metre screen will be brought from Denmark so that up to 20,000 people can watch the show in Sheffield's Norfolk Heritage Park.

Before the screening there are plans for schools and community groups to perform on stage.

The relay of the ballet, Manon, will take place on 26 May.
