MP calls for flood solution
Worcester underwater
Worcester has been hit by floods several times
An urgent solution to Worcester's flooding problems is being called for by the MP for the city, Michael Foster.

The Labour member has asked for effective, permanent flood defences to be erected in Worcester.

Mr Foster's plea comes as people in the city prepare to add their own money to a fund towards a temporary solution to Worcester's flooding problems.

Interim flood defences are estimated to cost anything from £100,000 to £300,000.

Worcester was one of the places hardest hit by the floods of November 2000.

The city has also been troubled by floods since then.
