Girl hit by flare at match
Flares exploding
Police are investigating the flare incident
A young girl has been hit by a flare at the Sheffield derby match at Bramall Lane on Friday evening.

The girl was not injured and was taken home by her parents.

South Yorkshire Police will now study a flare box which was recovered from the scene later on Saturday.

In all 26 people were arrested during the evening of the football game between Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday, mainly for public order offences.

Seven have been charged and released on bail.

Superintendent DaveTurner said that despite some minor problems there was little trouble.

Sheffield United won the match 3-1.
