Jaguar workers discuss strikes
Jaguar X-Type
Workers are unhappy about a 7% pay offer
Workers at Jaguar's Merseyside plant will meet on Thursday over possible strike action.

They are unhappy over a new pay package which would see them get a 7% increase.

More than 200 Amicus members will hold a mass meeting at the Halewood plant in Merseyside ahead of the for industrial action.

Similar meetings have already been held at the firm's factories in Coventry and Birmingham.

Amicus says conditions in the offer including performance-related pay and no pay for the first hour of any overtime are unacceptable.

Ballot papers will be distributed from next Monday.
