Virus still hitting Devon hospitals
Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital
The bug has hit the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital
Five Devon hospital wards have stopped taking new admissions because of a virus which causes vomiting and diarrhoea.

The infection has been confirmed as Norwalk virus.

Three wards at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital are affected.

And Derriford Hospital in Plymouth and Torbay Hospital each have one ward shut to new admissions.

The illness is not life threatening.

There have been a number of outbreaks of the virus this year.

During the worst outbreak, 13 wards at Derriford Hospital were closed.

Torbay is hoping that its ward can be reopened to admissions later this week.
