Man arrested after fan's death
Scene of the incident
The teenager was injured in Burnley town centre
Police investigating the murder of a teenage football fan in Burnley arrested a man on Monday morning.

Lancashire Police said a 19-year-old, from the Burnley area, was due to be interviewed by detectives after the death of 17-year-old Nathan Shaw.

Mr Shaw, from Aspley, Nottinghamshire died just after 1030 GMT on Sunday following an incident on Saturday in Burnley town centre.

A post-mortem examination that was carried out on Mr Shaw's body ruled the official cause of death to be a "blunt force head injury".

Family at bedside

Mr Shaw was injured at about 1300 GMT on Saturday - two hours before Burnley played Nottingham Forest.

He was hurt in an incident in St James's Street, Burnley close to Yates's Wine Lodge.

The street is about a mile from Burnley's Turf Moor ground.

Mr Shaw's family was at his bedside in the Royal Preston Hospital when he died.

He had been initially taken to Burnley General Hospital before being moved to Preston.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
