In pictures: Firefighters converge on London
Despite the rain, thousands of firefighters marched through London on Saturday in support of the ongoing pay dispute.

They were supported by other union leaders, as well as teachers and other public sector workers.

Members are calling for a sizeable pay rise when negotiations with conciliatory service Acas resume next week.

The march was the largest organised since the pit closures

Protestors braved the cold and the rain

Firefighters have already been on strike twice

Thousands of placards were made up for the protest
