Gas leak leads to train delays
Commuter train
Travellers are advised to make other plans
Train services on the Norwich to London main line have been severely disrupted because of a broken gas main.

According to First Great Eastern railways, the station at Colchester, Essex, was closed at 1140 GMT on Monday.

The company cited a suspected gas leak in the road under the railway bridge at Colchester.

Coaches replaced trains between Ipswich, in Suffolk, and Witham, Essex.

First Great Eastern has advised travellers to make other arrangements.

The company said the station will be closed until further notice.
