Chairman 'disappointed' by appeal response
Northampton Town Football Club
NTFC needs to raise £500,000
The chairman of Northampton Town Football club says he is disappointed at the response to their SOS appeal.

The Division Two team, known at the Cobblers, need to raise £500,000 by the end of January next year to stave off administration.

So far, the SOS Appeal over eight weeks has raised £190,000.

On Friday the club's chairman, Barry Stonhill, said he hopes more people will do more to help.

"I am a little disappointed more with the business community," he said.

"I think we sent out something like 700 letters and I don't think we've had a response from anyone not connected to the club."

The club lost out when ITV Digital collapsed owing Northampton £500,000.
