Man had £20,000 at crash scene
Baydon in Wiltshire
The man was found wandering in woods at Baydon
Police called to a road accident found a man wandering around a wood with a briefcase containing £20,000.

Officers from the Wiltshire force were called to the scene at Baydon near Marlborough on Monday night.

Paramedics had found a crashed truck with no licence plates and no driver inside.

A 50-year-old man from Manchester was later arrested on suspicion of stealing a vehicle.

Number plates

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: "A search by a police dog handler found a man in nearby woodland.

"He was clutching a set of number plates and a briefcase."

The briefcase was found to contain £20,000 in bank notes.

The arrested man has been released on police bail.
