Two people are being treated in hospital
A man from Essex who was struck down with Legionnaires' disease has been taken out of a hospital's high dependency unit.

The man, who has not been named, was admitted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow at the weekend after tests revealed the presence of the legionella bacteria.

Another man in his fifties from Hertfordshire, who is also being treated at the hospital for the disease, remains in the high-dependency unit.

Both men are said to be in a stable condition and making progress.

The source of the infections has still not been traced.
