In pictures: Tall ships on parade
A parade of 58 tall ships sailed out of Portsmouth Harbour on Sunday, watched by tens of thousands of people, to mark the end of one of Europe's biggest maritime festivals, The Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race.
Tall ships from 15 nations, including Poland and Russia, joined the race from Spain to the UK
More than 4,000 crew members sailed 66 tall ships from Alicante via Malaga, La Coruna and Santander
Crews, including young people with disabillities, spent up to nine days at sea learning the ropes
British maritime history was represented by the Stavros S Niarchos with 50 young people from Portsmouth
Tens of thousands headed for the south coast to watch the ships unfurl their sails on the last day of the festival
Even modern ships joined the parade at the end of the festival - headed by the Royal Navy's HMS Exeter
