Japan still dogged by deflation
News in brief
Japanese consumer prices fell again in June for the thirty-fourth month in a row.

Falling prices hurt economic growth and are widely seen as a major threat to prosperity by economists.

In June, prices fell 0.7% compared with a year ago following a 0.9% fall in May, government figures showed.

In June, the prices fell 0.1% from May.
