Island politician takes back seat
One of the founders of the Jersey Democratic Alliance is to take a back seat in island politics following the advice of his doctors.

Senator Ted Vibert, who has become well know for his outspoken views, has stood down from active political life before when he experienced heart problems.

It is not yet known whether Senator Vibert intends to stand for re-election in the autumn.

He will make a further announcement about his future on Monday.
