Island gas prices set to increase
Householders in Jersey are going to have to pay more for their gas from Monday.

Prices will increase by 7.5% because of the rising global cost of fuel.

Managing director of Jersey Gas, Bob Staddon, says if global prices fall, the company will reflect that. "That's what we've done in the past," he said.

"We were able to cut prices in January before the coldest part of winter." He says if prices stabilise at a lower rate tariffs will be reduced again.
