Inmates volunteer to build garden
La Moye Prison
Inmates have volunteered to help with the project
Volunteers from La Moye prison in Jersey could build a new courtyard garden and terrace for the residents of the island's Cheshire Home.

But the project still needs money for building materials and planting.

The home is planning to develop the area at the back of Eric Young House, with raised flower and herb beds to be used by residents with wheelchairs.

The scheme also includes paved paths which would also give better access to the garden.

In its newsletter, the home says while the prison is offering volunteers for the work, money is still needed to buy building materials and plants.
