Sport centre strike threat ends
People who work at Jersey's Fort Regent will not be going on strike over Christmas and New Year.

Rotas were changed by the Education, Sport and Culture Department to suit opening hours for the holiday period.

The union was concerned staff were not properly told by the Department and officials said they wanted to return to previous working patterns.

Union officials and politicians said they made progress during talks which were held on Monday.

Senator Mike Vibert, President of Education, Sport and Culture, praised union officials for their "sensible attitude".
