Volunteers needed for CAB centre
Jersey's Citizen Advice Bureau is calling for more volunteers to help it cope with an increasing number of enquiries.

Its annual report shows a 5% rise in the number of people needing help.

In the report, Francis le Gresley says the last year has been one of mixed fortunes for the organisation.

The bureau had to lose one paid member of staff last year, due to a reduction in States funding, but the enquiries have increased this year.

The number of people in the island with problems managing their debts has increased by 44% over the last two years.

The bureau is welcoming changes in regulations to grant more rental subsidies for people on benefits and moves to introduce a Paye tax form for all islanders.
