Recycling scheme is making tracks
Jersey telephone directory
Jersey Telecom has been recycling directories for eight years
Jersey's phone company says this year's recycling scheme for directories has been one of its most successful.

The recycled directories are used in part of the resurfacing in Brands Hatch race track in the UK.

Jersey Telecom has been collecting telephone directories for recycling for the past eight years.

Company spokesman Jason Mackenzie said the old directories were recycled in an number of environmentally-friendly ways.

People can take their phone books to schools, supermarkets and parish halls until the end of April.
