Brown reacts to HBOS losses

Prime Minister Gordon Brown has given his reaction to the financial losses reported by the Lloyds Banking Group.

Lloyds Banking Group has said that HBOS, which it absorbed in January, made a pre-tax loss of £10.8bn in 2008.

Meanwhile, 2008 profits at Lloyds TSB fell by 80% to £807m.
