Post office closes more branches
Post Office Ltd has confirmed 5 post office branches in North Nottinghamshire which were earmarked for closure are to shut.

This includes one branch which will be replaced by an outreach service - either a mobile facility or a post office within other premises.

The first closures are scheduled to take place at the end of January.

The company said it had identified branches which it felt were no longer economically viable.

Adrian Wales, Post Office Ltd's network development manager, said: "These are difficult decisions which have not been taken lightly.

"We have considered very carefully all the comments made during the public consultation.

"We believe that the amended plan announced today offers our customers in this area the best prospect for a sustainable network in the future."

The branch in Rampton will be replaced with an outreach service.
