Park life voted for by residents
More than £500,000 is to be spent on improving a park in Derby.

The changes at Osmaston Park, which include a play area designed for disabled children, were drawn up after consultation with 3,000 local people.

An area will also be created for BMX bikers, skateboarders and roller skaters. Lighting will also be improved and new foot and cycle paths laid.

A new Green Gym project set up by the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV) is to be created.

It will take two years to complete, while the other improvements will be finished by the end of October.
