City park will be 'transformed'
A Derby park is to get a £500,000 facelift that will include new play equipment, skateboard ramps and improved lighting.

The work at Osmaston Park will start in the next few months and should be finished by the end of the year.

Landscape and development officer Andrew Morgan said the park will be completely transformed.

Derby City Council drew up the plans to improve the park after consultation with residents.

The new facilities will also include an area for BMX bikers and roller skaters, an additional sports court, cycle racks, a community garden and new footpaths.
