Inquiry after prison disturbance
An investigation was under way on Thursday after a disturbance broke out at a prison in Warwickshire.

The incident happened at Rye Hill Prison near Rugby on Wednesday evening.

Four prisoners in an open area at the prison overturned tables and caused damage put at £3,000.

A spokesperson said prison officers negotiated with the four men and resolved the situation. No-one was hurt in the incident.

Extra staff were called to deal with the situation in case it escalated to involve other inmates.

The prisoners involved were segregated and are being questioned over the circumstances that led to the disturbance.
