School closed after vandalism

Police arrested three boys after the windows were smashed
Vandals have forced the closure of a Northampton Middle School.

Between 60 and 100 windows were smashed at Spencer Middle School and the neighbouring Spencer Centre.

Computers and printers were also stolen during the break-in and criminal damage on Sunday afternoon.

Northamptonshire Police officers arrested one youngster at the school after they were alerted by an alarm.

Three bailed

Two other boys were arrested shortly afterwards.

All three were released on bail and will be interviewed again on 14 December.

Spencer Middle School will reopen on Tuesday as normal.
