    Spain 0-0 Argentina

    Micah Richards
Former England defender to BBC Sport

We saw in Argentina’s semi-final against England how early refereeing decisions set the tone for the game, and that Alexis Mac Allister challenge should have been a yellow card.

It sets a dangerous precedent, as Argentina will feel they can get away with roughing up Spain.

We're still really waiting for this one to come alive.

    Chris Sutton

I admire Argentina in a way. They win in whichever way they can. They have done a lot of rough-housing this tournament and got away with it.

    Spain 0-0 Argentina

The ball is dropping over Nico Gonzalez's head and it hits his shoulder. He didn't have much clue about that and Pedro Porro sweeps up.

Spain try to get on their way but Argentina draw the foul from Lamine Yamal.

Spain need to be careful not to end up involved in Argentina's game.

When Alexis Mac Allister was not shown a yellow card for that foul on Dani Olmo, Spain fans started chanting: "Infantino".

And it was not in praise. They felt Mac Allister should have been cautioned, and clearly believe Argentina are receiving favourable treatment.

    Spain 0-0 Argentina

Argentina win a free-kick and Rodrigo de Paul sends in a decent ball in behind the Spanish defence but there's just a bit too much on it for Nico Gonzalez to get there at full stretch.

    Spain 0-0 Argentina

    Chris Sutton
Former England forward on BBC Radio 5 Live at New York New Jersey Stadium

It's a late challenge. That has to be a yellow card, and guess what? The referee hasn't gone to his pocket.

This is what Argentina do and what they are good at. They are a bunch of bar room brawlers. And if they get away with it they will.

    Get a grip referee.

    Spain 0-0 Argentina

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on BBC One at New York New Jersey Stadium

Alexis Mac Allister is very fortunate. If that's another 15 minutes into the game and that happened, then I think it's a yellow card.

As expected, Spain have controlled the opening 10 minutes.

Argentina need to have some variation in their play and have their forwards stretch the game. It can't always be to feet.

  20. 'Shocker'published at 20:15 BST

    Spain 0-0 Argentina

    Chris Sutton

That's an absolute shocker. The referee is saying he got that right, well you didn't referee.

We're not going to have another display of weak officiating, are we?
