Cofiwch: In Welsh there is a feminine ei and a masculine ei (there is no literal equivalent to "it"). A treiglad llaes follows the feminine ei, and a treiglad meddal follows the masculine ei.

Edrychwch - look at the difference between these sentences:

Cafodd hi ei thalu am ei gwaith.	t>th	She was paid for her work.
Cafodd hi ei chusanu.	c>ch	She was kissed.
Cafodd hi ei phenodi i'r swydd.	p>ph	She was appointed to the job.
Cafodd e ei dalu.	t>d	He was paid for his work.
Cafodd e ei gusanu.	c>g	He was kissed.
Cafodd e ei benodi i'r swydd.	p>b	He was appointed to the job.
