Shopping
In this section we will concentrate on shopping.
Cofiwch - rhowch any new vocabulary in your 'cadw-mi-gei'.| Wyt ti'n hoffi siopa? | Do you like shopping? | | ydw / nac ydw | yes / no | | Ble rwyt ti'n siopa fel arfer? | Where do you shop usually? | | Dw i'n siopa yn yr archfarchnad. | I shop in the supermarket. | | Dw i'n siopa yng nghanol y dref. | I shop in the town centre. | | Dw i'n siopa yn y farchnad. | I shop in the market. |
Cofiwch - mae treiglad meddal ar ôl berf yn y gorffennol, ar ôl 'o', ac ar ôl 'ga i?'Remember - there is a soft mutation after a verb in the past tense, after 'o', and after 'gaf i ?'You will sometimes see Ga i? written as Gaf i?. Both forms have the same meaning, but Gaf i? is more common in spoken Welsh.

Mae 'siop' yn fenywaidd (feminine), felly dyn ni'n treiglo y gair nesaf (we mutate the following word). We use 'dw i'n mynd i' when talking about the shops above. But, when the shop refers to a person we say 'dw i'n mynd at'. Er enghraifft - for example:| Dw i'n mynd at y cigydd. | I'm going to the butcher's | | Dw i'n mynd at y fferyllydd. | I'm going to the farmacist. | | Dw i'n mynd at y crydd. | I'm going to the cobbler's. |
