Possessive pronouns (2)
We have seen that ein and eu don't cause a mutation and that the female ei causes an aspirate mutation: | Ei thrwser hi | trwser thrwser | | Ei chath hi | cath chath | | Ei phêl hi | pêl phêl |
There is also something else to remember when using possessive pronouns. If the object begins with a vowel we need to add a h to it after the female ei, eu and ein: 'a e i o u w y' | ei hafal hi | her apple | | ein heglwys ni | our church | | eu hiâr nhw | their chicken | | ein horennau ni | our oranges | | ei hutgorn hi | her trumpet | | eu hwyau nhw | their eggs | | ein hysgol ni | our school |
