In Welsh there are two ways of saying your. We have the formal way, which is eich_______ chi:
| Eich tŷ chi. | Your house. |
| Eich llaw chi. | Your hand. |
| Eich ci chi. | Your dog. |
| Eich mam chi. | Your mother. |
| Eich pethau chi. | Your things. |
| Eich rhaw chi. | Your spade. |
| Eich bag chi. | Your bag. |
| Eich gwisg chi. | Your uniform. |
| Eich drws chi. | Your door. |
We also have the informal way which is dy ___ di. This is a little more difficult as a soft mutation follows dy. Edrychwch - look at these examples:
| Dy dŷ di. | t>d |
| Dy gi di. | c>g |
| Dy bethau di. | p>b |
| Dy fag di. | b>f |
| Dy wisg di. | g>w |
| Dy ddrws di. | d>dd |
| Dy law di. | ll>l |
| Dy fam di. | m>f |
| Dy raw di. | rh>r |
| Gwyn ydy lliw dy dŷ di. | White is the colour of your house. |
| 19 ydy rhif dy dŷ di. | 19 is the number of your house. |
| Siân ydy enw dy fam di. | Siân is your mother's name. |
To ask for someone's details we say beth ydy eich...chi?
| Be' ydy'ch enw chi? | What's your name? |
| Be' ydy'ch cyfeiriad chi? | What's your address? |
| Be' ydy'ch rhif ffôn chi? | What's your phone number? |
| Be' ydy'ch oed chi? | What's your age? |
If you address a person as ti, you will say beth ydy dy... di? instead. Remember the mutations!
| Be' ydy dy enw di? | Beth ydy dy gyfeiriad di? | Be' ydy dy rif ffôn di? |
