Learning Welsh is a commitment, it is sometimes difficult, but it can also be enormous fun. Forget the parrot-fashion repetition of long-gone school French lessons: Welsh teaching uses the latest subliminal techniques to get you up and using the language in a very short space of time.

There are classes everywhere throughout Wales (and beyond!) and numerous books and other teaching aids available. With different dialects around the country, it's good to make sure you get local teaching. If you can possibly spare the time, doing an intensive course for four or eight weeks is by far the best way to get to grips with Welsh quickly. It will change your life, change your perspective, and will make you feel far more at home here.
