Questions

ti / chi
Ble est ti ddoe? / Ble aethoch chi ddoe?
Beth gest ti? / Beth gaethoch chi?
Beth wnest ti? / Beth wnaethoch chi?
Pryd dest ti? / Pryd daethoch chi?

2. The answer to a closed question in the past, i.e. did you do something, did you have something specific is DO or NADDO.

3. There is usually a soft mutation when a noun follows Ces i ___
or
Gest ti ____ or Gaethoch chi ____
e.g. Ces i ddŵr; Gaethoch chi win coch?
This is a direct object of the verb for people who are familiar with grammar terms, however it may be easier just to remember examples.

4. There are always some slight variations in dialect. You can guess what they are more often than not, but don't be concerned about them. This course is about teaching spoken Welsh, which is as rich and varied as any other spoken language.
