Skill Seekers
Fed up
with sitting in a classroom?
Want to get out into the real world?
Prefer to get your qualifications part-time
If this
sounds like you - work-based training may be what you’re looking
for!
‘Skill
Seekers’ is the name for all government-funded, work-based
training programmes for young people in Wales.
Why
choose Skill Seekers training?
Skill
Seekers training gives you the chance to gain experience in
a real job, plus job-specific qualifications like NVQs, while
earning money.
To become
qualified in certain occupations, like craft and technician
level engineering or building trades, it is usual practice
to leave school at 16 and train through an apprenticeship.
If you’d
rather keep your options open a bit longer or you’ve chosen
a career that needs high entry qualifications, have a look
at AVCEs and GCE Advanced.
