FAQ

3. There are so many different types of qualifications on offer – how do I know which is right for me?

When you are choosing your options, you will have a variety of qualifications to choose from.

In general, GCSE’s and A levels are academic in nature, so they involve essay-writing and sitting exams. AVCEs and BTEC Diplomas are more practical, involving work experience and project work. Assessment is continuous rather than through end-of-year exams.

It is important to realise that all types of qualifications are alternatives to one another and, therefore, there is no easy option.
